ÖLÜDENİZ BLU ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Since its establishment, Ölüdeniz Blu Hotel has demonstrated care and efforts in the protection of the environment and natural resources, earning the Zero Waste Certificate. With this certificate, the hotel has further solidified its eco-friendly initiatives.

We aim to protect the environment, prevent pollution, and reduce our negative impacts on the environment. To achieve this:

• We assess the impact of our environmental harm within the framework of legal regulations and develop methods to reduce it.

• We strive to prevent accidents that could cause pollution and harm to the environment.

• We diligently separate our waste at the source, according to groups and hazard classes, to enable more waste to be recycled and appropriately disposed of without harming nature. Our goal is to minimize waste generation.

• We work on procurement practices for products/materials that will lead to reduced waste generation. Our aim is to progressively reduce waste each year.

• We understand that using hazardous materials and chemicals only when necessary and in the required amounts will not only minimize negative environmental effects but also reduce waste.

• We plan our food and beverage offerings based on guest numbers, aiming to minimize food waste and appropriately utilize surplus healthy foods within and outside the facility.

• We use disposable items like paper, napkins, toilet paper, and packaging materials only as necessary to minimize waste.

• We carefully segregate waste into effective categories based on sources, groups, and hazard classes.

• We are knowledgeable about how waste separation units in common areas and designated waste storage areas are used.

• We store waste properly in separate areas based on their characteristics and deliver them to licensed/authorized companies within legal storage time limits, maintaining records.

• In collaboration with our environmental officer, we update our waste management plan within legal timeframes and make official notifications as required.

• We strive for efficient use of water, energy, and all natural resources, sharing this commitment with our employees, guests, and suppliers.

• We measure our environmental management performance, track these data against objectives, and seek to enhance our performance.

• We aim to educate and raise awareness among our employees regarding environmental matters.

• We undertake efforts to involve our guests and employees in our environmental protection and waste management policy, working to make this philosophy a way of life.
